The Amethyst team is happy to announce a new version of Amethyst, 0.15.3. Amethyst is a data-driven and data-oriented game engine aiming to be fast and as configurable as possible.
Wait, what happened to 0.15.2? Well, it was published off of the wrong commit, which pretty much broke the world. We yanked that quickly and published 0.15.3 instead!
If you wish to use Amethyst in your application, simply add the following line to Cargo.toml:
[dependencies] amethyst = “0.15.3”
What's in 0.15.3
0.15.3 is primarily a bug fix release targeting a regression in `Camera::screen_ray` introduced in 0.15.1 (well, that and the completely broken 0.15.2).
Besides the bug fix, we included some internal cleanup and improvements to the release process, CI, and documentation.
We have loads of exciting changes coming in 0.16. Our brand and web site will receive a face lift, Legion will be our new ECS powering Amethyst with better performance and ergonomics, and much more!
